Payroll Management
You control when a two-week pay period begins. Students enter hours from their punch cards after the period ends. Review, correct, or return entries before approving a locked paycheck.

Most Recently Closed Pay Period
Approved paychecks remain locked and available under My Paychecks. Any unbanked pay is still available to deposit.
Open Pay Period
Opening shifts earn $1 per approved day (0–6). These are separate from calculated work hours. Save the bonus days for each employee.
Finish This Pay Period
Review all timecards before closing. Paychecks already approved stay locked. Employees' undeposited earnings stay available in My Bank.

Fictional payroll test: Approving a paycheck creates a depositable earnings credit but does not automatically deposit money into SPEND, SAVE, or SHARE. Teacher approvals are final and locked.

Employee Administration
Manage fictional employee profiles. Paychecks and bank history stay protected.
Employee IDs stay the same after creation. Archiving keeps historical records instead of deleting them. Adding a profile does not create a student login.

To protect payroll counts, adding, restoring, and archiving employees are blocked while a pay period is open. Editing a fictional employee’s name or start date is allowed. Real student accounts require school approval and separate secure sign-in setup.

Teacher Accounts
One Lead Administrator. Teacher test accounts are separate from student accounts.
First create a fictional teacher login under Supabase Authentication → Users. Then link its email here. Never share your password. This test does not grant teacher access to banking or payroll approvals yet.
Link an Existing Test Login
Disabling teacher access blocks the Barks & Beaks Teacher Hub role check. It does not delete the person's Supabase Auth account or invalidate a separately held Supabase token. We will add full session revocation and staff approval permissions before real use.
